The Cairn Group operates and owns a variety of properties including hotels, care homes, restaurants and bars and employs circa 1,600 employees.  We are entering an exciting period of change, growth and re-branding to reflect our growing portfolio and ambitious business plans.
 
We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and energetic CREDIT CONTROLLER to join our finance team, assisting with the sales ledger of our hotels.
 
Based at our head offices in the centre of Newcastle you will join an already established credit control team and report to the Financial Controller. The ideal candidate will be responsible for their own section of hotels within the ledger.
 
The role will involve
·         Keeping debtor days to a minimum
·         Posting of sales ledger cash & cheques
·         Sending out statements, ensuring prompt payment of bills.
·         Identifying problem debtors and dealing with disputes
·         Chasing collection of monies outstanding.
 
No previous experience is necessary although experience with various PMS systems within the hotel industry would be advantageous.  Knowledge of all Microsoft packages would be essential.
